Okay, I am in need of some serious help!!! I bought a custom bike(1996 Kawasaki frame, Harley gas tank, seat, bars) for first "starter" bike that has a different Kawasaki engine than the original. I was told it was a 1996 500 but when I went to get parts, was told that there was no 500 series engine for a 1996. The only information I have is the engine serial # which is EX500AE162429. I have called dealers/service dept. with info and can't get any help...they say they can only look up by VIN on frame. That can't be true, since ppl do have to replace their engines. I have searched online for days and found nothing but EN500s, so I am turning to you!!! Please help!!!
