My RPM's are a little low, and my bike sputters a lot. Does anyone know where the manual adjuster is for a Ninja 500R 2006?
Thanks!

do you mean changing your idle settings or just making your bike's rpms rise faster or slower?

Yes, I mean changing my idle settings. They are really low...

sorry i took so long to get back to you i've been really busy lately. anyways try checking down on the left/clutch lever side of your bike near the stator cover and shifter are for a little screw with a nob on top. that is your idle setting adjuster.

So I should look low, near the gear shift on the Left side of the bike?
My starter is on the right side of the bike...

correct low left side near the gear box, i said stator not "starter". it should be an adjustable threaded nob i can't remember which way is to lessen the idle and which way brings it up but you'll have to adjust it while the bike is off then start the bike to see where your at and repeat as necessary to get to desired rpm. i do mine with the bike on but i was told the proper way is with the engine not running, however i find it alot faster to do it with it running. hope that helps, let me know how it goes or if you need anything else either just getting around the forum or with your bike.

thanks! I hate to be such a girl, but one last question: what is a stator?

well i don't know how much you know about automobiles but on a car they have alternators and in the bike world they have stators. it's basically what takes the juice from your battery and distributes it to where every electrically your bike needs it.
