hey guys, i'm new on this forum becos i was trying to find a place to get some helpful advice etc. I just bought my zx6r 3 days ago, when the previous owner first dropped it off at my house and introduced me to the bike, it started like a charm everytime. I took it for a rip that night and it was still ok. But the next day, I started having trouble starting the bike, it seemed I always needed to hook it up to a battery charger to start it, so I figured it was just the battery problem.

Today I bought a new battery and it was working fine, I took it for a rip to get some bubble tea and after it wouldnt start again. Eventually I started it from a rolling start in 1st gear and tried again, after 3 tries I got it started.

I'm really stuck on what could be wrong, could it be the alternator? Can anyone find a diagnosis for it with all this information I gave? If anyone has any ideas about what I should try to find a diagnosis for the problem, please help! I appreciate everybody's input! Please and thank you~

oh I forgot to mention that last night I charged the old battery overnight, and this morning before I bought the new battery it would start fine. But after a while of being off the battery charger, the same problem would come up and it wouldn't start again.

did you find out what the problem was? as im having the same problem with my 2006 zx6r

I am also having this issue with my '98 zx-6r. It seems to start fine when cold, but if the engine is hot I have to give it a rolling start in 1st gear. Any solution/ideas anyone?
