Hey All,

I just bought a '74 G5 100cc enduro. It seems to run rich, (smells of fuel and smokes a bit) and after starting and running a short while it backfires, will die and be hard to start and(after pushing it for a while) will restart but runs like....well.....coughs or sputters...but continues to fire. as i give it gas (especially passed 3/4throttle) it boggs down and dies. It typically will start up every morning but seems to reguarly leave me stranded after it seems to be warm. Where should i start? I figure it's a 74 and probably needs somethin, but with limited $ i was hoping to get insight on where to start, carb, choke, the adjuster on the carb cover, not sure, any insight into cleaning 2 stroke carb or .....i guess where i should start... I would love to take this bike into the hills but am afraid to get stranded further than pushing distance from home. any insight is appreciated. Thanks
