Hi Guys,
Looking for some advice.
I had a problem recently when i was riding and the gears started slipping.
So i ended up stripping the motor to find my ratchet plate was slightly warped and i had a slightly bent shifting fork (L).
I managed to bend the shifting for back to the correct position and bought a new ratchet plate.
Put it all back together, and went for my first ride.
Everything was good, until i found myself in 2nd gear and opened the throttle and the bike started make a sound like the chain was slipping on the sprockets (not the case).
So i rode a bit to try find out what was going on and it seems, when i start in 1st and shift to 2nd and accelerate it jumps straight into 3rd gear. if i do manage to keep it in second, it seems to be slipping? if i dont jump on the throttle the bike runs normally in 2nd.
This only happens in 2nd gear, all other gears are fine under load.
One other thing is, this all seemed to happen after i changed the oil for the 1st time, since i have owned the bike. not sure if thats just a coincidence?
If any one has any idea i would appreciate the help, as i am at a loss now?
Just so you know, the dogs etc all look in spec.
Thanks in advance
Darryl
