2004 vs 2006 ZX[636]R??

Hi All,

New to this forum, but not to sweet Kwaks

I currently have a 2006 zx[636]r. I love it - it's crazy aggressive and looks lovely. The only problem with it is that it KILLS my lower back because of the riding position, and I'm short - 5'6...

Was knocked off by a 4x4 a month ago, so bike is with insurance pending repair or write off.

If they do write it off then I have the option to buy another like it, or...which brings me to the pertinent enquiry forming the basis of this post to you good riders

If I choose to get the 2003/4 636, will it be as crazy aggressive on acceleration as the 2005/6 636? I have never had the opportunity to ride one to find out. I sat on one once and could tell that it was a lot more comfortable than mine

The only issue with the older 636 is that I'm not quite sold on its looks - I much prefer my own 636, but back ache is a bi7ch!

I would love to find out your views/experiences on the two 636 models, and any helpful suggestions, please.

Thank you
