2008 Concours

Guys, I just bought a used 08 Concours and it needs a new front tire. Does it require any special tool to loosen the front axle bolt since I do not see a nut on either end. Thanks in advance.

you need a large hex head to fit the axle i think 22 or 24 mm hex ...you can make one from a bolt and a couple of nuts or just buy the tool online ...i got one off ebay for under 20 bucs ...you ll need it alot if you ride much ...the c 14 goes thru front tires pretty regularly...i got 7k miles out of the original bridgestone which was showing cords by the time i noticed it was gone ...mounted a dunlop q 2 for the second tire but havent ridden
but a thousand miles on it so far... the pilot road 3 by michelin is supposed to be the best one out there for the c 14 but i havent seen any milage figures for it ....dave
