Engine Swap Question

I have a reverse trike I built from a 1982 KZ1000. It looks much like a T-Rex. My problem is obviously that it is not getting enough air over the cylinders and is overheating. I didn't think it would be that bad.

Can I relatively easily swap the engine for a water cooled motor? Would it fit in the frame? Which engine would you recommend around 1000ccs?

Thanks for your thoughts.
