Just bought an 07 D Tracker

I"m an American living in the Philippines, and I just got it from a guy living near me.

He had a 18/21 wheel set added to the OE hubs, and I have the original motard wheels, nipples and tires. If I could get some extra hubs at a good price I could swap back and forth. Are the hubs used on the Tracker the same as any other US Kaw hubs?

Is engine oil the same as the clutch oil? I hear it is not on the new CRF250L, soI thought I'd ask. (just got it yesterday)

What's the oil change volume? I don't have a new oil filter and doubt I can get one any time soon. So for now, the capacity without changing the oil filter might be what I need - if it makes a difference.

It had a Supertrapp style pipe on it, and I can tell the idle mix is lean. I have to give it momentary choke if it sits even a half hour in this hot climate. So I'll be working to richen that a bit.

Are the extraneous vacuum hoses connected to the carb that can be capped to increase vaccum in the center of the carb?

Yesterday, before I had the starting drill down pat, it seemed llike I'd run the battery down-though trying to jump it from my car didn't help at all.

I kept getting a fast clicking from what seemed like things bolted to the left side of the airbox. Maybe that's the starter solenoid? Anyway, for some reason I started poking at the starter button and it slowly came to life, turned over more and more, finally starting up!

The bike had mostly sat idle for more than a year, so maybe some connections have crudded up. I'll have to be looking those over as well.

Odd that repeatedly poking the starter button got it going..

I read that the bike evidently has an automatic compression release, and how well the bike starts hot or cold depends quite a bit on that device's setting - at least when you're playing with cam timing.. Is that ACR adjustable?

I'm going to either need to get the blue paint redone or buy new plastic. I find some online in Japan but it's horribly expensive. There are a lot of shops here in town, maybe I can find something suitable. But just getting it painted is always an option.
