By the way it sounds its either your stator or the regulator/rectifier check to see if there is resistance to ground from the stator first then check the A/C voltage output. I would have to look at...

wow the a bit of damage but i wouldn't think the housing falling off would be the reason it isn't starting i'd start checking on other things like the starter or even the wiring in the controls on...

New to the forum just thought i would say hi! My bike is a 86 zx600 i payed 350 for it a year ago put it together and ride as much as possible
